I know my friends down south might not be interested for something like Narayal Chicken as they are too bored with coconut dishes. But my intention is always to bring some twist in our daily food life. So keeping this in mind I tried to bring out the best out of daily recipes.
Though Chicken lovers around the world love their meat with almost every ingredient but we Indians have a secret element which add glory to any ordinary dish. One such ingredient is Sandalwood. To know how it can be used with Chicken you have to follow this recipe.

Ingredient :
- Chicken (500 gms)
- Basil leaves ( 4 - 5)
- Raw Turmeric Paste ( 1 tbs)
- Black Pepper Paste ( 1 tbs)
- Cumin Powder (2 tbs)
- Coriander Powder (2 tbs)
- Onions ( 4 pcs minced)
- Red Chilli powder ( 1 tbs)
- Coconut Milk (1 cup)
- Sandalwood Stick ( 1 pcs)
- Some Green Chillies ( minced)
- Salt and Sugar to taste
- Marinate the Chicken with Cumin, Coriander,Turmeric and Red Chilli powder.
- Also add some salt to the marination.
- In a pan put some oil.
- Add minced Onions,Basil leaves,green Chillies and Salt
- Add the Raw Turmeric and Black Pepper Paste.
- Stir for a while.
- Add the Chicken Pieces.
- Stir well.
- Add the Coconut Milk and mix well
- After a while add some water and bring it to boil
- This is the time when you have to add the Sandalwood Stick.
- Cover the pan for sometime.
- Once the Chicken is tender switch off the flame.
- Pour the Chicken in a wide bowl and enjoy the flavors like never before.
